Renault Clio exterior design

The fifth generation of the Renault Clio presented in 2019 stands out for offering a fairly continuous aesthetic with respect to its predecessor, a design language that takes features of the previous generation, but at the same time is inspired by the Renault Mégane to integrate the features of this new era in the French brand. To emphasize the design of its front and rear optics, as well as the sporty look that is embodied in all its lines. Renault has opted to offer a clearly youthful and modern vision of its most urban car, without falling into a great revolution as they have offered some of their direct rivals. The arrival of versions and finishes more sporty signed by Renault Sport print an extra point of character to its body, however from its simpler versions the Clio continues to offer personality and differentiation in all its views.

Renault Clio engines

The Renault Clio range is available with both diesel and petrol engines, and there is also a petrol hybrid engine that becomes your most efficient and interesting option when you obtain the ECO label. Among the diesel options we find a 1.5 dCi engine of last generation available in powers of 85 and 115 hp. The petrol options have a 1.0 SCe engine of 65 or 75 hp, a 0.9 TCe of 100 hp and a 1.3 TCe of 130 hp. In terms of transmissions, there is the possibility of installing an automatic CVT type gearbox in the 100 hp petrol engine and a 7-speed EDC double clutch in the 130 hp engine. But the great novelty of the Clio is the E-TECH engine, a hybrid petrol engine that combines 1.6 litre atmospheric petrol mechanics with two electric motors and a 1.2 kWh battery to offer 128 hp maximum power. With this hybrid version, which will go on sale in 2020, the Clio promises to move in the city up to 80% of the time using only its electric motors, and save up to 40% of fuel compared to a utility vehicle that only uses a gasoline engine.
